Dr. Erica Balzano knew from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian.
Originally from New Jersey, she moved to Florida to attend the University of Miami and later graduated from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Balzano began her career here in Port Charlotte, then gained valuable experience at several clinics in Miami before returning to her roots at The Animal Clinic.
Dr. Balzano is passionate about educating clients about their pets' health and the importance of preventive medicine. She believes that preventive care is key to ensuring pets lead long, healthy lives and works closely with pet owners to develop personalized care plans. She is also interested in advancing veterinary care by applying the skills she gained while earning her recent Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Development.
Outside of work, Dr. Balzano enjoys traveling, reading, and spending quality time outdoors with her family.
